First, draw a circle a little to the right of the middle of your paper. This circle is the right thumbstick. Make it a size that you like!
Next, let’s draw the D-pad. Draw two lines going up and down next to each other. Make them a bit longer than the thumbstick. Connect the top and bottom of these lines. Then, draw two lines going side to side, connecting them on the left and right. Now you have a D-pad!
Now, draw another circle for the left thumbstick. Put it up and to the left of the right thumbstick. Try to make it about the same size. It’s okay if it’s a little bigger because we’ll color it black later.
Next to the right thumbstick, draw the X, Y, A, and B buttons. Start with two buttons side by side, then add two more below them. If you turn your paper sideways, they should look like a square.
Now, add two small menu buttons next to the X button. Keep them close together for a tidy look.
To make the controller’s shape, draw a straight line under the D-pad and the right thumbstick. Then, draw a shorter line above it, right above the menu buttons.
Next, draw diagonal lines from the ends of the bottom line up to the top. Make sure they are the same length. Connect these lines with a curve to form the outer edges of the controller.
Draw two diagonal lines going up from the top of the controller shape. Connect these lines with a short diagonal line on both sides.
In the center of the controller, draw a big circle for the Xbox button. Below this circle, add an upside-down “V” shape, and a small “V” at the top. Finish the button by drawing a sideways “V” that connects the bottom of the circle to the sides.
Your Xbox controller outline is done! Now, it’s time to color. Keep the controller white, but add light gray for shading to make it look 3D. Use a white colored pencil to add highlights, making some parts look shiny.
