How to Draw Bluey: A Fun Guide

Drawing is a super fun activity, especially when you get to draw your favorite characters like Bluey! Bluey is a playful blue heeler dog from a popular cartoon. Let’s learn how to draw Bluey step by step. Grab your drawing tools, and let’s get started!

Materials Needed

Before we begin, make sure you have these materials ready:

  • Paper
  • A pencil or pen for drawing
  • An eraser (optional)
  • Coloring materials (crayons, markers, or colored pencils)

Step 1: Draw Bluey’s Eyes

Let’s start with Bluey’s eyes. Draw an oval shape in the middle of your paper, a little towards the top. Inside the oval, draw a smaller circle for her pupil.

Step 2: Add the Nose and Mouth

Next, draw Bluey’s nose. Start with a line from the middle of the eye, curving down to make her nose. Then, curve it back up to create her smile. Draw a line for her teeth and add a bumpy line for her tongue.

Step 3: Draw the Other Eye

For Bluey’s other eye, leave a little space and draw an upside-down “U” shape that connects to her nose. Add the pupil, but only half of it since the other half is behind her nose.

Step 4: Create the Body

Now, let’s draw her body. Make a big rectangle with rounded corners next to her eye. Add curves at the bottom for her body’s shape.

Step 5: Add Eyebrows and Ears

Draw Bluey’s eyebrows as small curves above each eye. For her ears, start from the top of each eyebrow and draw a triangle that connects back to her body. Add a smaller triangle inside each ear for detail.

Step 6: Draw the Arms

Time for Bluey’s arms! Draw two diagonal lines next to her body for her right arm. Add an upside-down “U” for her thumb and three more fingers. Do the same for her left arm.

Step 7: Add Legs and Feet

For her legs, draw two diagonal lines from the bottom of her body. Create her feet by drawing curves that look like dog paws, connecting them with a curve at the back.

Step 8: Draw the Tail

Bluey’s tail is next! Draw a curve coming out to the left, followed by another curve below it. Add a few bumps to make it look playful.

Step 9: Add Spots

To finish Bluey, add her special spots. Draw a curve on her tail, a spot under her eye, and a few more on her body.

Step 10: Color Bluey

Now that you’ve drawn Bluey, it’s time to color her! Use light blue for her paws and belly, and a light blue stripe around her snout. Have fun matching the colors!
