Winter is a great time to enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate. Let’s have fun by drawing a picture of hot chocolate with marshmallows and a straw! Grab your markers and paper, and let’s start drawing!
Start by drawing a curved line in the middle of your paper. It should look like a smile. Then, draw two lines that go down and back up to make the shape of the hot chocolate.
Now, let’s add two marshmallows inside the hot chocolate. For the first marshmallow, draw a line that curves up and down. Connect the bottom with a curve to finish the shape. For the second marshmallow, draw a similar shape that overlaps the first one, making it look like it’s behind. Connect the bottom with a curve too.
Let’s make the marshmallows look funny! Draw two eyes and a small mouth on the first marshmallow. For the second marshmallow, draw upside-down U shapes for the eyes and a smile in between.
Time to add a straw! Draw a long line going down into the hot chocolate, then draw another line next to it. At the bottom, make a small curve like a half-circle. Connect the top with an oval shape. You can add stripes to make it look like a candy cane.
Let’s finish the hot chocolate cup. Imagine the first curve going behind the marshmallows and straw, and draw it around to connect on the other side. Draw another curve over the marshmallows and straw for the top of the cup. Then, draw two lines coming down from the top curve and connect them at the bottom with another curve.
Don’t forget the handle! Draw a big backward C-shape starting from the top of the cup and connecting back in. Inside this shape, draw a smaller C-shape to finish the handle.
Let’s make the cup lively with a cartoon face! Draw two circles for the eyes and add smaller circles inside for highlights. Color in the larger circles, leaving the smaller ones white. For the mouth, draw a diagonal line between the eyes and a big U shape for an open mouth. Add a rainbow line for the tongue.
Finally, draw some steam coming off the hot chocolate. Make a swirl that goes up and back down to show warmth.
Your drawing is ready to be colored! Use colored pencils, crayons, or any coloring tools you like. Be creative with your colors!
