Let’s have some fun drawing Clifford the Big Red Dog! Clifford is a big, friendly dog that everyone loves. You can draw him too! Grab a grown-up and let’s start this creative project together.
Before we begin, make sure you have these things ready:
First, draw a big heart shape. This will be Clifford’s body.
Inside the left side of the heart, draw a big “U” shape for Clifford’s head.
Draw two ears on top of Clifford’s head. They look like raindrops!
Now, use your marker to trace over the pencil lines.
Next, draw Clifford’s back and legs.
Finish drawing Clifford’s legs and tail.
Now it’s time to color Clifford!
Great job! You’ve drawn Clifford the Big Red Dog. This fun activity helps you be creative and spend time with your family. Don’t forget to watch Clifford’s movie for more fun! Happy drawing!
Explore Shapes in Nature: Take a walk outside with a grown-up and look for shapes in nature. Can you find any heart shapes like Clifford’s body? Maybe in leaves or flowers? Draw what you find and compare it to Clifford’s shape.
Create Your Own Character: Use the same steps you learned to draw Clifford to create your own animal character. Start with a different shape for the body, like a circle or square. What kind of animal will you make? Give it a name and a story!
Color Mixing Experiment: Use crayons or markers to mix colors and find the perfect shade of red for Clifford. What happens when you mix red with other colors like yellow or blue? Try coloring a small section of Clifford with your new colors and see how it changes his look.
