Welcome to a fun drawing adventure! Today, we are going to learn how to draw a spooky Halloween potion bottle with ghosts and bubbles. Get your markers, paper, and coloring tools ready, and let’s begin!
Start with the Top: Draw two straight lines standing next to each other. Make sure they are the same height.
Create the Bottom: Draw an oval shape connecting the two lines at the bottom. This will be the base of your potion bottle.
Finish the Top: Draw a line across the top of the two lines, making it a little longer on each side. Then, add another shorter line just below it.
Draw a Wiggly Line: Start at the top of the bottle and make a wavy line that curves up and around, like a backward question mark.
Complete the Ghost Shape: Draw another wavy line that curves back down to the bottle. Make it as wavy as you like!
Add Dimension: To make the top of the bottle look 3D, draw a small curve connecting the top of the bottle to the ghost.
Draw the Eyes and Nose: Draw two ovals for the ghost’s eyes and a small circle for the nose.
Color the Face: Color in the eyes and nose to make your ghost come alive.
Add the Liquid: Draw an oval shape at the top of the bottle to show the liquid inside. It should look like a squished circle.
Include a Skull: On the front of the bottle, draw three small ‘U’ shapes for the skull’s teeth. Then, draw a big circle for the skull’s head and two circles for the eyes. Color these in too.
Draw Bubbles: Draw a small circle next to the skull and a bigger bubble above it. Do the same on the other side, with a big bubble first, then two smaller ones above.
More Bubbles: Add two little bubbles coming out of the potion bottle for extra spookiness!
Create the Cork: Draw an oval shape at the top of the bottle. Then, add two slanted lines coming from the oval, one at the top and one at the bottom.
Connect the Lines: Match the curve of the oval with a bigger curve to join the ends of the slanted lines, completing the cork.
Now that your potion bottle is drawn, it’s time to color it! This is the most fun part, so use your favorite colors. You can color quickly or take your time to match the example.
Great job! You’ve drawn a Halloween potion bottle with ghosts and bubbles. It’s okay if your drawing looks a bit different. The most important thing is to have fun and keep practicing your drawing skills. Happy Halloween, and we hope to see you for more creative lessons!
Potion Bottle Hunt: Go on a scavenger hunt around your house or classroom to find objects that look like potion bottles. Look for items with similar shapes, like water bottles, jars, or vases. Once you find them, try to draw them using the steps you learned. Can you add your own spooky designs to these new potion bottles?
Create Your Own Potion Recipe: Imagine you are a wizard or witch creating a magical potion. What ingredients would you use? Write down a list of fun and silly ingredients, like “a pinch of laughter” or “a spoonful of rainbow.” Draw a picture of your potion bottle and label it with your unique recipe. Share your potion with a friend and explain what magical powers it gives!
Bubble Experiment: With the help of an adult, mix a small amount of dish soap with water in a bowl to create bubbles. Use a straw to blow bubbles and observe their shapes. How do they compare to the bubbles you drew on your potion bottle? Try drawing the bubbles you see and notice how they change size and shape. Discuss why bubbles are round and what makes them float.
