Keep Practicing!

Practice makes perfect! Keep writing these letters, and soon you’ll be writing like a pro. Use lined paper to help you, and remember to have fun while learning. Happy writing!

  • What is your favorite letter to write and why? Can you show us how you write it?
  • Have you ever noticed letters in signs or books that look different from how you write them? How do they look different?
  • Can you think of a word that starts with the same letter as your name? How would you write it using big and small letters?
  1. Letter Hunt: Go on a letter hunt around your home or classroom! Look for objects that start with each letter of the alphabet. For example, find an “A” for apple, “B” for book, and “C” for chair. Can you find something for every letter? Draw a picture of each object you find and practice writing the letter next to it.

  2. Letter Craft: Create your own alphabet book! Use construction paper to make a page for each letter. Draw or cut out pictures from magazines that start with each letter and glue them onto the page. Practice writing both the big and small versions of each letter at the top of the page. Share your book with a friend or family member!

  3. Letter Shapes: Use playdough or clay to form each letter of the alphabet. Roll the dough into long snakes and shape them into both big and small letters. As you create each letter, say its name and the sound it makes. This will help you remember how to write and pronounce each letter!
