  1. What happened to Humpty Dumpty in the rhyme?
  2. Who tried to help Humpty Dumpty after he fell?
  3. What do you think Humpty Dumpty learned after his fall?

Meet Humpty Dumpty!

Hello, friends! My name is Humpty Dumpty. You might have heard about me before because I’m quite famous for a little accident I had. People even made a nursery rhyme about it! Today, I’m going to share that rhyme with you. Are you ready to have some fun?

The Humpty Dumpty Rhyme

Here is how the rhyme goes:

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.

All the king’s horses and all the king’s men

Couldn’t put Humpty together again.

What Happened to Humpty?

In the rhyme, I was sitting on a wall, and then I fell down! Oh no! After I fell, everyone tried to help me, but they couldn’t put me back together. But don’t worry, I’m okay now!

More About Humpty Dumpty

If you want to know more about my adventures after the fall, you can read my book called “After the Fall.” It’s a fun story about how I got back up and tried new things!

Thanks for Visiting!

Thank you for spending time with me and learning my nursery rhyme. I hope you had fun! See you next time for more exciting stories and rhymes!

  • What do you think Humpty Dumpty felt when he was sitting on the wall before he fell? Have you ever felt excited or scared about trying something new?
  • Why do you think the king’s horses and men couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again? Can you think of a time when you needed help with something and how you solved it?
  • If you were Humpty Dumpty, what would you do after falling off the wall? How do you think trying new things can be fun, even if they seem a little scary at first?
  1. Build a Wall: Gather some building blocks or LEGO bricks and work together to build a wall. Once the wall is built, place a small toy or egg on top and gently knock it over. Discuss what happens when the toy falls and how it relates to Humpty Dumpty’s story. Ask the children, “What can we do to make sure Humpty doesn’t fall again?” Encourage them to think of creative solutions to prevent the fall.

  2. Humpty Dumpty Art: Provide paper, crayons, and markers for the children to draw their own version of Humpty Dumpty. Ask them to imagine what Humpty might look like after he gets back up and tries new things. Encourage them to add details like a bandage or a superhero cape. Discuss how Humpty might feel after overcoming his fall and trying something new.

  3. Story Time Exploration: Read the book “After the Fall” together, if available. After reading, ask the children questions like, “How did Humpty feel after his fall?” and “What did Humpty do to overcome his fear?” Encourage them to share their own experiences of trying something new after a setback and how they felt afterward.

Here’s a sanitized version of the transcript:
