Hello, friends! How are you today? I am feeling very happy because the sun is shining bright, and my kids are playing outside. Did you get to play outside today? I hope it’s sunny and warm where you are!
Today, we have a special book called “I Am Grateful for My Body” by Christine Madeleine Hyde. It has beautiful pictures by Natalie Jones. Are you ready to start?
Our bodies are amazing, and we can be thankful for all the things they help us do. Let’s see what we can be grateful for:
Our bodies do so much for us every day. Isn’t that wonderful?
Let’s show our bodies some love! Go outside, play, and stay healthy. Remember to take care of your body because it helps you do so many fun things!
Thank you for reading with us today. If you liked this story, you can find the book to read again. We love sharing stories with you, so come back for more! Take care of yourself and your family. Bye-bye!
Body Part Adventure: Go on a mini-adventure around your home or classroom. Find objects that you can use to explore each body part mentioned in the story. For example, use your eyes to find something colorful, your nose to smell a flower or a spice, and your ears to listen to a favorite song. Share with your friends or family what you discovered and how each body part helped you!
Gratitude Drawing: Draw a picture of your favorite activity that you can do because of your amazing body. It could be dancing, playing a sport, or giving a hug. Use lots of colors and details to show how thankful you are for your body. Share your drawing with the class and explain why you chose that activity.
Thankful Circle: Sit in a circle with your classmates or family. Take turns saying one thing you are grateful for about your body and why. For example, “I am thankful for my hands because they help me build with blocks.” This activity helps us appreciate all the wonderful things our bodies can do!
