Alphabets Sounds Video

share us on:

In this lesson, children are encouraged to have fun with sounds by practicing saying words like “jacket” and “lion” together. The lesson emphasizes the importance of vocal expression and engages students with interactive activities, such as roaring like a lion. By repeating the words, children build confidence and improve their pronunciation while enjoying the learning process.
  1. What sound does a lion make?
  2. Can you tell me what a jacket does?
  3. What is your favorite sound to make?

Let’s Learn Some Fun Sounds!

Hey there, friends! Are you ready to have some fun with sounds? Let’s say some words together in a big, happy voice! Are you ready? Here we go!

Sound Like a Jacket!

Can you say “Jacket” with me? Let’s try it together: Jacket! Great job! Jackets keep us warm when it’s chilly outside. Do you have a favorite jacket?

Roar Like a Lion!

Now, let’s try another sound. Can you say “Lion” with me? Let’s say it together: Lion! Awesome! Lions are big cats that live in the wild. They have loud roars. Can you roar like a lion? Roar!

Let’s Practice Again!

Let’s say those words one more time to practice. Ready?

Jacket!

Lion!

Fantastic! You did an amazing job! Keep practicing these sounds, and you’ll be a sound superstar in no time!

  • What is your favorite sound to make, and why do you like it? Can you show us how it sounds?
  • Think about a time when you wore your favorite jacket. Where were you going, and what did you do while wearing it?
  • If you could be any animal for a day, like a lion, which animal would you choose and what sounds would you make?
  1. Sound Scavenger Hunt: Go on a sound scavenger hunt around your home or classroom. Listen carefully and try to find objects that make interesting sounds. Can you find something that sounds like a “jacket” when you shake it? Or maybe something that roars like a “lion”? Share your findings with your friends or family and try to mimic the sounds together!

  2. Sound Matching Game: Create a set of cards with pictures of different objects and animals. Mix them up and lay them face down. Take turns flipping two cards over and making the sound of the object or animal on the card. If the sounds match, you keep the pair! See how many pairs you can find.

  3. Sound Storytime: Create a short story using the words “jacket” and “lion.” As you tell your story, make the sounds of each word. For example, “Once upon a time, a little jacket went on an adventure and met a friendly lion. The jacket said, ‘Whoosh!’ and the lion replied, ‘Roar!’” Encourage your friends to add to the story with their own sound effects!

Here’s a sanitized version of the YouTube transcript:
