Hello everyone! I’m so happy you’re here! We’ve had a great week together, and today is going to be super fun. It’s Friday, and we have lots of exciting things planned. We’ll read a story with Miracle and Nano, sing with Mr. Dan, and watch some cool cartoons. Armando will share a fast fact, and we’ll have a new episode of “Ask an Expert.” Plus, get ready to dance like a robot! Are you excited?
This morning, I woke up early, walked my dog Pickles, watered the plants, fed my fish, got ready for work, and had a yummy breakfast. What did you do this morning? Did you make your bed or brush your teeth? Even small things like getting ready for class show responsibility. Great job!
Let’s join Mr. Dan in the music room! Hi, I’m Mr. Dan. Today, we’ll use our voices in four fun ways: singing, speaking, whispering, and shouting. Let’s try it together!
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands! If you’re happy and you know it, stomp your feet! If you’re happy and you know it, nod your head! If you’re happy and you know it, shout hooray! You did it! Thanks for singing with me. Have a great day!
We took our friend ABC to swim with the fishes under the sea at the Great Barrier Reef. It was an amazing adventure on a glass-bottom boat!
Today, let’s think about ways to help our planet. You can recycle, save water, use your own bags, or ride a bike. Ask your family to help you do these things. It’s a great way to be responsible!
Miracle and Nano have a story for you called “Let’s Make This Into That.” Jack and Grace want to make a robot. They find pots, cans, and other items to build it. By reusing things, they help the planet. Can you think of ways to create something new from old things?
Did you know artists like Pablo Picasso used found objects to make art? You can do it too! It’s a fun way to be creative and help the planet.
Volunteering means helping others for free. You can care for animals, read to people, or help in a garden. Saia is talking to Hayden Riley, an expert volunteer, about how he helps his community by doing yard work. It feels good to help others!
Let’s get up and move! Do the remote control dance with ABC: dance when I say play, pause, freeze, fast forward, and rewind. Dancing is great exercise and a healthy choice!
Being responsible means making healthy choices for your body. Eat well, get enough sleep, and exercise. These are simple ways to take care of yourself, your family, and your community.
What a wonderful week we’ve had! Remember, the more you learn, the more you’ll love learning. Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you on Monday morning. Bye!
Create Your Own Recycled Art: Just like Jack and Grace in the story, gather some old items from around your house, like empty boxes, cans, or bottle caps. With the help of an adult, use these items to create your own robot or any other fun creature. Think about how you are helping the planet by reusing materials. What other things can you make from items you might otherwise throw away?
Observe and Record: For one week, keep a journal of all the small things you do to be responsible, like making your bed, brushing your teeth, or helping with chores. Draw pictures or write about how these actions make you feel. At the end of the week, share your journal with your family and talk about how being responsible helps everyone.
Nature Walk and Discovery: Take a walk with your family and look for ways nature helps us. Can you find a tree that gives shade or a flower that attracts bees? Talk about how you can help the planet, like picking up litter or planting a tree. Draw a picture of your favorite discovery and explain why it’s important to take care of our environment.
Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the YouTube transcript:

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Can you believe it? We’ve spent almost the entire week together! I’ve had just the best time, and don’t worry, it’s not over yet! Today is Friday, and there’s still lots of fun ahead. We’re going to read a story with Miracle and Nano, sing with Mr. Dan, and watch more cartoons that help us think about new things. Armando is here with a fast fact and a new episode of “Ask an Expert.” Plus, get ready because we’re going to dance like a robot and move it! How does that all sound?
Yes? Great! So far, I’m doing an excellent job fulfilling all my responsibilities. I got up at 6:00, walked Pickles, watered some plants, fed my fish, got ready for work, and I ate my favorite healthy breakfast. How about you? What are some of the things you took care of this morning before class? Just think about it! Even doing something like waking up to get ready for class is important and shows responsibility. But I’ll bet you did much more! Did you make your bed? Brush your teeth?
Our music teacher, Mr. Dan, took care of his responsibilities too! He prepared a whole new music lesson for us to enjoy. Let’s go meet him in the music room!
Hi everyone! I’m Mr. Dan. Welcome back to music class! Today is the day we’re going to put together all four of the different ways that we can use our voice. Remember, we can sing, we can speak, we can whisper, and we can shout! We’ll start by singing our first verse, speaking our second verse, whispering our third, shouting our fourth, and then we’ll sing a little bit at the end because it is a music class after all. Ready? Here we go!
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands! If you’re happy and you know it, stomp your feet! If you’re happy and you know it, nod your head! If you’re happy and you know it, shout hooray! You did it! I’m so proud of you! Thank you for joining me for music class this week. Have a great day!
We wanted to take our friend ABC to swim with the fishes under the sea. We carefully searched into our great belief and found the amazing Great Barrier Reef! What a great adventure! Our tour at the Great Barrier Reef on a glass-bottom boat was the best for sure!
Great job! You deserve a pat on the back! Seriously, you should be so proud of yourself. This week, you’ve been learning a little bit each day about different ways to be responsible. It may not seem like much, but now that you’ve reached the end of the week, you’ll discover you’ve actually learned a whole lot.
Yes, today we’ll focus on the Earth, our lovely planet. Little things you can do to take care of the planet are very important, such as putting a plastic bottle in the recycle bin, turning off the faucet while you brush your teeth to save water, bringing your own bag to the grocery store, or riding a bike instead of driving. You can ask your family to help you do some of these things. Helping to take care of our planet is just another way to be responsible.
Miracle and Nano are going to read a story with you about two kids who help the planet in a very creative way. The title of this book is “Let’s Make This Into That.” Are you ready? Yes? Fantastic! Here we go!
The story from this book is “Let’s Make This Into That.” Jack said, “Let’s make a robot!” Grace said, “How do we make a robot?” Jack said, “We will find a way!” They looked for robot parts and found some interesting items. They used pots, cans, and other materials to create their robot.
Wow! What a great story! Did you see how Jack and Grace took care of their planet with their robot? Yes! By reusing objects that were going to be recycled, they created less waste. Think about different ways you can create something without buying new supplies.
In fact, it’s not that unusual for artists, even really famous ones, to use objects they find to create their art. Let’s learn more with a fast fact! Have you ever found something and thought, “Hey, I can make art out of that?” A famous sculptor and artist named Pablo Picasso did just that!
Using found objects and reusing things is a great way to stay creative and still do your part to help the planet. Let’s talk about another way to help take care of the communities we’re all a part of, as well as the planet. It’s called volunteering. Volunteering means working for free to help others.
There are many different ways to volunteer. For example, you can care for animals at a shelter, read to people who might be lonely, help take care of a community garden, and more.
Today, Saia is going to ask an expert volunteer some questions about what they do. Check it out!
Hi there! It’s me, Saia, and today I’m asking a real-life expert questions about being a volunteer. Thanks for being with me today, Hayden Riley!
My first question is, where do you live? I live in St. George, Utah. And where do you volunteer? I volunteer in my neighborhood. What made you choose to volunteer there? I want to help my neighbors and make friends.
Can you tell me more about the place where you volunteer? Here we have lots of families and elderly neighbors too, and all of them need help sometimes. What are some of the things you take care of when you volunteer? I do a lot of yard work.
How does it help make the community a better place? Cleaning up yards helps other people and makes you feel good. What is your favorite part about volunteering?
Wow, that makes me want to find a way to take care of my community too! There are many different ways to help in our communities, and what I’ve learned is that it feels good to help others.
It’s time to get up and move it! Are you ready? ABC, take it away!
Hi! Come on, stand up! It’s time to move it! Let’s go and do the remote control dance! Dance when I say play, pause, freeze, fast forward, and rewind.
Wow! You sure know how to move it! Dancing is such good exercise! In fact, exercising is a great healthy choice.
Another way to be responsible for yourself is to make healthy choices for your body. We’ll learn about some of the ways you can be responsible for your health and body in this next book.
What a nice story to end our week on! It just helps us remember that we can be responsible for helping ourselves, our family, our community, and our country.
There are simple ways to do this every day, starting with eating well and getting plenty of sleep. I hope you had as much fun as I did! After this, be sure to check out your playlist of the week. Have a good weekend, and I’ll see you right here on Monday morning! Remember, the more you learn, the more you’ll love learning! Bye!
