Lesson Activities

  1. Donut Counting Dance: Let’s create our own donut dance! Gather some round objects like bottle caps or paper circles to represent donuts. Start with ten and practice counting as you remove one by one, just like in the story. Can you make up a dance move for each number? Try to remember which number comes next as you dance and count down!

  2. Surprise Egg Hunt: Create your own surprise eggs using small containers or paper cups. Hide little toys or objects inside. Have a friend or family member help you hide them around the room. Then, go on a hunt to find and open each egg. What surprises did you find? Can you count how many eggs you found and describe the colors of the toys inside?

  3. Colorful Smoothie Creation: Use playdough or colored paper to create your own pretend smoothies. Choose your favorite colors and mix them together. What colors did you choose? Can you name the fruits that match those colors? Share your colorful creations with a friend and talk about your favorite smoothie flavors!
