In today’s lesson, we embarked on an exciting outdoor adventure to discover the wonders of nature. We learned about various elements of the outdoors, including animals like rabbits and squirrels, the beauty of trees and flowers, and the different ways we can move and explore our surroundings. The lesson encouraged curiosity and observation, inviting us to notice the small details in nature during our next outdoor outing.
  1. What cool things can we see when we are outside?
  2. Can you name an animal that we might find outside?
  3. How can we move like the animals we see outside?

Let’s Explore the Outdoors!

Hi there! Today, we’re going on a fun adventure to learn about the outdoors. Are you ready? Let’s go!

Outside and Inside

First, let’s talk about the outside. When we are outside, we can see so many cool things! There’s the cloud up in the sky, and the bright Sun shining down. We might see a pretty butterfly flying by or a colorful flower blooming.

When we go inside, we are in a cozy place like our home. But today, we’re exploring the outside!

Animals and Nature

Look, there’s a rabbit hopping around! Rabbits love to jump. And over there is a tall tree. Trees are homes for many animals.

Do you see the squirrel? It’s climbing the tree. Squirrels are very good at climbing! And up in the tree, there’s a bird sitting in its nest. Birds build nests to keep their babies safe.

More Fun Things Outside

On the ground, we can find rocks. Some are big, and some are small. And look at the leaf that fell from the tree. Leaves come in many shapes and colors.

Sometimes, animals like to play hide and seek. The rabbit hides, and the squirrel finds it. It’s so much fun!

Moving Around

We can move in different ways outside. We can walk like the rabbit or run like the squirrel. Maybe we can even jump like the butterfly!

Let’s Keep Exploring!

There are so many things to see and learn about outside. Next time you go out, see if you can find a cloud, a flower, or maybe even a rabbit!

Thanks for exploring with me today. Let’s have more adventures soon!

  • What is your favorite thing to see when you go outside, and why do you like it so much?
  • Have you ever seen an animal like a rabbit or a squirrel in your backyard or at a park? What did it do, and how did it make you feel?
  • Imagine you are a bird building a nest. What would you use to make it cozy and safe for your baby birds?
  1. Nature Scavenger Hunt: Next time you go outside, try to find some of the things we talked about in our adventure! Can you spot a cloud, a flower, or maybe a butterfly? Make a list of what you find and draw a picture of your favorite discovery. Share your drawing with a friend or family member and tell them why you liked it!

  2. Animal Movements Game: Let’s pretend to be the animals we saw! Can you hop like a rabbit, climb like a squirrel, or fly like a bird? Ask a friend or family member to join you and take turns being different animals. See who can come up with the most creative animal movements!

  3. Leaf and Rock Collection: Collect some leaves and rocks from your backyard or a nearby park. Look at the different shapes, sizes, and colors. Can you sort them by size or color? Try making a fun pattern or picture with your collection. Remember to put everything back where you found it when you’re done!
