Hey there, little friend! Today, we’re going to have a fun adventure learning about shapes. Shapes are everywhere, and they can be so much fun to find. Let’s start our journey with some yummy breakfast shapes!
Circles are round and smooth. They don’t have any corners. Can you think of some circle shapes? How about pancakes, eggs, or oranges? Yum! Did you know that pancakes have been around for a very long time? They’re a delicious circle treat!
Ovals look like circles that got a little squished. They are longer on one side. You can find oval shapes in rolls, eggs, and grapes. Did you know that white eggs come from white hens, and brown eggs come from brown or red hens? That’s egg-citing!
Triangles have three sides and three corners. You might see triangles in a piece of toast or a slice of cake. Triangles are tasty and fun to eat!
Squares have four sides that are all the same length. Waffles are a yummy square shape with little squares inside to hold syrup. Squares are great for breakfast!
Rectangles also have four sides, but two sides are longer than the other two. You can find rectangles in toaster pastries and bacon strips. Rectangles make breakfast extra special!
