Chick Hunt at Home: Ask an adult to hide five small objects around your home or classroom, just like Chloe’s chicks were hiding. Then, go on a hunt to find them! Count each object as you find it. Can you find all five? Try hiding them for a friend to find next!
Draw and Count: Draw a picture of a garden or a farm. Now, draw five little chicks hiding in different places in your picture. Share your drawing with a friend or family member and ask them to find and count the chicks. How many did they find?
Chick Counting Game: Use small toys or blocks to represent the chicks. Start with one and add more, counting out loud as you go. Can you count all the way to five? Try counting backward from five to one. How about counting in a different language?
