Bedroom Scavenger Hunt: At home, look around your bedroom and see if you can find all the items we talked about: a bed, a closet, a desk, a chair, a reading lamp, and a bookshelf. Can you find anything else in your bedroom that we didn’t mention? Draw a picture of your bedroom and label all the items you found.
Create a Mini Bedroom: Use a shoebox or a small cardboard box to create a mini bedroom. Use paper, fabric scraps, or small toys to make a bed, a closet, a desk, a chair, a lamp, and a bookshelf. Arrange them in your mini bedroom. Show your creation to a family member and explain where you placed each item and why.
Story Time with Bedroom Items: Think of a story that happens in a bedroom. Use the items we learned about to create your story. For example, “Once upon a time, a little bear was reading a book under the reading lamp…” Share your story with a friend or family member. What other adventures could happen in your bedroom?

Today, in our vocabulary lesson about the home, we will learn about things in the bedroom.
What has happened here? The bedroom is completely empty, and we need to fix this. Should we add everything that’s missing? Let’s take a look at what we are going to need:
– A bed: We sleep in our bed every night.
– The closet: The closet is where we keep our clothes.
– The desk: We do our schoolwork at the desk.
– The chair: We sit in the chair to study.
– The reading lamp: The lamp that we use to read is called a reading lamp.
– The bookshelf: We put our books on the bookshelf.
Perfect! Now we need to put everything where it belongs. Will you help me?
– The bed: Let’s put the bed here.
– The closet: Let’s put the closet here next to the door.
– The desk: Let’s put the desk here in the middle.
– The chair: Let’s put the chair next to the table.
– A reading lamp: Let’s put the reading lamp here so that you can read well.
– The bookshelf: Finally, we will put the bookshelf here against the wall.
Perfect! That’s a wrap; we put the bedroom together.
Let’s review so that we don’t forget anything:
