In today’s lesson, children embark on a fun adventure that combines learning with play. They help a frog navigate to a lily pad by drawing a path, practice counting together, and are encouraged to embrace mistakes as part of the learning process. The lesson also introduces the Kids Academy app, inviting children to explore various subjects while emphasizing the joy of learning together.
  1. What did the frog want to do on the big stones?
  2. How do we feel when we count together?
  3. What fun things can we learn in the Kids Academy app?

Let’s Learn and Have Fun!

Hello, little friend! Today, we’re going to have a fun adventure. Are you ready? Let’s go!

Hop, Hop, Frog!

Imagine a cute frog who wants to jump on big stones to reach a lily pad. Can you help the frog find the right path? Draw a line through the big stones so the frog can hop safely to the lily pad. Once you finish, tap the green button to see if you did it right!

Count with Me!

Let’s count together! One, two, three, four, five! Oops, sometimes we might get stuck, and that’s okay. We can try again and find the right way. Counting is fun, and we can always learn from our mistakes!

Explore and Learn More!

Do you like playing games and learning new things? You can play with me in the Kids Academy app! We can learn about math, reading, writing, and so much more. Ask a grown-up to help you scan the QR code or use the link to join the fun!

Let’s Have Fun Together!

Learning is like an adventure, and it’s even better when we do it together. So, let’s play, explore, and have lots of fun!

  • Have you ever helped someone or something find their way, like the frog in the story? How did it make you feel?
  • What is your favorite thing to count, and why do you like counting it? Can you think of a fun way to practice counting with your friends or family?
  • What is something new you learned recently that was fun? How did you learn it, and who helped you?
  1. Frog Jump Game: Create a small obstacle course using pillows or cushions at home. Pretend each pillow is a big stone, and you are the frog! Try hopping from one pillow to the next without touching the floor. Count each jump out loud as you go. How many jumps does it take to reach the end? Try different paths and count again!

  2. Counting Nature Walk: Go on a nature walk with a grown-up. As you walk, count the number of trees, flowers, or birds you see. Can you count up to five? What about ten? Try to find different things to count each time you go for a walk. This will help you practice counting and notice the world around you!

  3. Draw Your Adventure: Draw a picture of your own adventure where you help an animal friend reach a special place. Maybe a squirrel wants to reach a tree or a fish wants to swim to a coral reef. Use your imagination and draw the path they need to take. Share your drawing with a friend or family member and explain the adventure!

Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the transcript:

What about flowers, electricity, sunlight, or candy? What about a toy robot battery? What about a fridge?

Good job! Wow, you really got the hang of it! You’re doing great!

[Music]

The frog will only hop on the bigger stones. Draw a line through the bigger stones so the frog can find its path to the lily pad. Tap the green once you’re done.
