Meet the Letter B

Hello, friend! Today, we’re going to have fun learning about the letter B. B is the second letter in the alphabet. It comes right after A and before C. Let’s see why B is so special!

The Sound of B

The letter B makes a sound like “buh.” Can you say “buh”? Great job! We hear this sound in lots of words. Let’s look at some words that start with the “buh” sound:

Writing the Letter B

Let’s learn how to write the letter B. There are two ways to write it: big B and little b.

Big B

2. Make a big round bump at the top.
3. Make another big round bump at the bottom.

Little b

1. Draw a straight line going down.
2. Make a small round bump to the right.
