A raccoon is a clever animal with a mask-like face. It can run and climb trees!
A rooster is a bird that crows in the morning. It can run around the farm!

Animal Hunt: Go on a mini adventure around your home or garden to find things that start with the letter “R.” You might find a red toy, a round rock, or even a picture of a rabbit. Take a picture or draw what you find and share it with your friends or family.
R Sound Game: Gather a few objects from around the house. Some should start with the letter “R” (like a ruler or a rubber band) and some should not. Take turns picking an object and saying if it starts with the “R” sound. Can you think of more “R” words to add to the game?
Story Time with “R”: Create a short story using as many “R” words as you can. You can start with “Once upon a time, a rabbit and a raccoon went on a race…” Draw pictures to go along with your story and share it with your class or family.
