Meet The Digital Citizens!

Hello, Digital Citizens!

Welcome to the world of Digital Citizens! We are here to help you learn about being safe and smart when using computers and the internet. Let’s meet our friendly team!

Meet Heart

Hi there! I’m Heart. I love to help everyone be kind and caring online. Remember, it’s important to say nice things and be a good friend when you’re using the internet.

Meet Guts

Hello! I’m Guts. I teach you to be brave and make good choices online. If something doesn’t feel right, tell a trusted adult. It’s okay to ask for help!

Meet Head

Hey! I’m Head. I help you think carefully about what you see online. Not everything you read or watch is true, so let’s use our brains to figure things out!

Meet Legs

Hi! I’m Legs. I remind you to take breaks and move around. It’s fun to play on the computer, but it’s also important to play outside and stay active!

Meet Feet

Hello! I’m Feet. I help you find the right path online. Let’s explore safely and make sure we visit websites that are good for us!

Meet Arms

Hi! I’m Arms. I love to share and help others. When you’re online, remember to share safely and only with people you know. Let’s keep our information private!

Let’s Be Great Digital Citizens!

Now that you’ve met the Digital Citizens, you can be a great digital citizen too! Remember to be kind, smart, and safe when you’re using the internet. Have fun exploring and learning!

  • What do you think it means to be a kind and caring friend online, like Heart suggests? Can you think of a time when you were kind to someone on the internet?
  • Guts talks about being brave and asking for help if something doesn’t feel right online. Have you ever had a moment when you needed to ask an adult for help with something on the internet? What happened?
  • Legs reminds us to take breaks and stay active. What are some fun activities you like to do when you’re not using the computer?
  1. Heart’s Kindness Challenge: Create a “Kindness Jar” at home or in the classroom. Every time you say something nice or do a kind act online, write it on a piece of paper and put it in the jar. At the end of the week, read all the kind things you’ve done and celebrate being a kind digital citizen!
  2. Guts’ Safety Adventure: With a parent or teacher, explore a few child-friendly websites together. Discuss what makes these sites safe and fun. If you come across something that doesn’t seem right, practice telling an adult. This will help you feel brave and safe online!
  3. Head’s Truth Detective Game: Play a game where you look at different pictures or short stories online. Decide together if they are real or pretend. Use your thinking skills to figure out why something might not be true. This will help you become a smart digital citizen who knows how to find the truth!
