Four Plus Five

Imagine you have four apples, and your friend gives you five more apples. How many apples do you have now? Let’s count together: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9! So, four plus five equals nine!

One Plus Nine

Now, if you have one cookie and get nine more cookies, how many cookies do you have? Let’s count: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10! One plus nine equals ten!

One Plus Eight
