Hey there, little friend! Are you ready to go on a fun adventure with numbers? Today, we’re going to meet some special friends called numbers. They help us count and do all sorts of fun things. Let’s get started!

Meet Number Zero

Our first friend is Zero. Zero is a little shy because it means nothing. But don’t worry, Zero is very important! When you have zero cookies, it means you have no cookies at all. Can you say “zero” with me?

Say Hello to Number One

Next, we have One. One is like having one big, yummy cookie. It’s the first number we count. Can you hold up one finger? Great job!

Two is Company

Now, let’s meet Two. Two is like having two eyes or two hands. Can you find two toys to play with? Counting to two is so much fun!

Three is a Party

Here comes Three! Three is like having three balloons at a party. Can you count to three with me? One, two, three! Yay!

Four is Fantastic

Four is next. Four is like having four wheels on a car. Can you find four things in your room? Let’s count them together!

Five is Alive

Say hi to Five! Five is like having five fingers on one hand. Can you give me a high-five? Awesome!

Six is Super

  1. Number Hunt: Go on a number hunt around your home or classroom! Find objects that match the numbers we’ve learned. For example, find one book, two pencils, or three blocks. Can you find something for each number from zero to ten? Share your findings with a friend or family member!

  2. Number Art: Create a number collage! Use magazines, newspapers, or drawings to find or make pictures of things that represent each number. For example, draw one sun, two apples, or three stars. Arrange them in order from zero to ten and share your artwork with the class!

  3. Counting Story Time: Make up a story using numbers. For example, “Once upon a time, there was one lonely cat. Then, two dogs came to play. Next, three birds joined them…” Continue the story up to ten. Share your story with a friend or family member and see if they can count along with you!
