Thanks for counting with me today. Have a wonderful time learning and playing!

  • What are some things you like to count at home or outside? Can you think of something new to count today?
  • Why do you think counting is important? How do you use counting in your daily activities?
  • If you could create a fun counting game, what would it be like? What would you count, and how would you play?
  1. Counting Nature Walk: Take a walk outside with a grown-up and count different things you see. How many trees can you count? How many birds do you see? You can even collect small items like leaves or rocks and count them when you get home. Try to find at least 10 different things to count!

  2. Number Hunt at Home: Go on a number hunt around your house. Look for numbers on clocks, books, or even in the kitchen. Write down the numbers you find and try to put them in order from smallest to largest. Can you find all the numbers from 12 to 20?

  3. Snack Counting Game: Use your favorite snacks like crackers or fruit slices to practice counting. Ask a grown-up to help you count out 12 pieces, then 13, and so on, all the way to 20. You can eat them as you count, but make sure to count carefully so you don’t miss any!
