  • What is your favorite number to count to, and why do you like it so much?
  • Can you think of some things you see every day that you can count? How many of them can you count right now?
  • Have you ever counted something with a friend or family member? What was it, and how did it feel to count together?
  1. Number Hunt: Go on a number hunt around your home or classroom. Look for numbers on clocks, books, or even in the kitchen. Can you find all the numbers from 1 to 10? Write them down as you find them. This will help you see how numbers are used in everyday life!

  2. Counting with Nature: Take a walk outside and collect small items like leaves, stones, or sticks. Once you have your collection, try counting them. Can you group them into sets of 2, 3, or 4? This activity helps you practice counting and grouping numbers in a fun, hands-on way.

  3. Number Stories: Create a short story using numbers. For example, “Once upon a time, there were 3 little birds sitting on a tree. Then, 2 more birds joined them. How many birds are there now?” Draw pictures to go with your story. This will help you understand how numbers can tell stories and solve problems.
