  • Vowel Hunt: Go on a vowel hunt around your home or classroom! Look for objects that have names starting with a vowel. For example, you might find an “apple” or an “umbrella.” Can you find one object for each vowel? Write down or draw a picture of each object you find.

  • Vowel Sound Match: Gather some picture cards or cut out pictures from old magazines. Try to find pictures of things that start with each vowel sound. Mix them up and then sort them into groups based on their starting vowel sound. Can you say the name of each object and the vowel it starts with?

  • Vowel Song Creation: Create a fun song or rhyme using the vowels A, E, I, O, and U. Try to include words that start with each vowel. For example, “A is for apple, E is for elephant…” Sing your song to a friend or family member and see if they can guess the vowels you used!
