  • How does music make you want to move your body? Can you show us your favorite dance move?
  1. Music Movement Game: Play a variety of music genres and ask the children to move in different ways based on the music they hear. For example, they can sway slowly to classical music, jump to pop music, or march like a soldier to a marching band tune. Encourage them to think about how the music makes them feel and how it influences their movements.

  2. Make Your Own Instruments: Provide materials like empty containers, rubber bands, and rice or beans. Let the children create simple instruments like shakers or rubber band guitars. Once they’ve made their instruments, play some music and have them join in by playing along. Discuss how different sounds can be made and how they can add to the music.

  3. Feel the Beat Exploration: Ask the children to close their eyes and listen to a piece of music. Afterward, discuss what they felt and imagined while listening. Did the music make them think of a story or a place? Encourage them to draw a picture of what they imagined while listening to the music, helping them connect emotions and creativity with musical rhythms.
