My Amazing Family

My Wonderful Mom

I have a super mom! When I feel sick, she becomes a doctor and helps me feel better. When I’m hungry, she makes yummy food for me. When I’m bored, she plays with me and becomes my best friend. If I have a problem, she turns into a superhero and helps me solve it. My mom is the best, and I always want to be with her!

My Loving Grandpa

This is my grandpa, and I love him so much. I love my whole family, including my dear daddy. They make me feel happy and loved every day.

Playing Doctor

One day, mom wasn’t feeling well. We decided to play doctor and take care of her. We checked her temperature and gave her a cooling patch. We also gave her water to drink. We told her to rest and sleep well. After a while, mom felt much better and thanked us for being such good doctors!

Fun with Dad

While mom rested, we decided to have some fun with dad. We put makeup on him and made him look pretty. We even planned a surprise party for mom with colorful balloons!

Bath Time Adventure

We had a bath time adventure where we pretended to chase away germs. It was so much fun splashing around and getting clean!

Officer Timmy’s Candy Mystery

We played a game where I was Officer Timmy. We had to guard the candy and find out who took a piece. It was exciting to solve the mystery together!

Beach Day Fun

We went to the beach with the shining sun and beautiful waves. I wore my swim vest and held mom’s hand. She told me to be careful, and I felt safe with her by my side.

Safety Seat Adventure

At first, I didn’t want to sit in my safety seat in the car. But mom showed me how it keeps me safe. She even gave me a little Dino toy to keep me company. We played a game where Teddy learned to sit safely too. I learned that sitting in my safety seat is important and keeps me safe on bumpy roads!

Discussion Questions

  • Can you think of a time when someone in your family helped you feel better when you were sick or sad? How did they help you, and how did it make you feel?
  • What are some fun activities you like to do with your family? Do you have a favorite game or adventure you enjoy together?
  • Why do you think it’s important to sit in a safety seat when riding in a car? Can you share a story about a time you learned something new about staying safe?

Lesson Activities

  1. Family Role Play: Gather some props like a toy stethoscope, a chef’s hat, or a superhero cape. Encourage the children to role-play different family members and their roles, just like in the story. Ask them, “What would you do if you were a doctor like mom? How would you help someone feel better?” This activity helps children understand the different roles family members play and how they can help each other.
  2. Safety Seat Craft: Provide materials like paper, crayons, and stickers. Ask the children to create a mini safety seat for their favorite toy. Discuss why safety seats are important and ask, “How does your safety seat keep your toy safe on a bumpy road?” This hands-on activity reinforces the concept of safety in a fun and creative way.
  3. Beach Day Observation: If possible, organize a small outdoor activity where children can pretend to be at the beach. Use a sandbox or a small pool. Encourage them to observe and describe what they see, hear, and feel. Ask questions like, “What do you need to stay safe at the beach?” and “How can you have fun while being careful?” This encourages children to think about safety and enjoyment in everyday activities.
