Welcome to Doug’s Fun Learning Adventure!

Hi there! I’m Doug, and I’m super excited to take you on a fun learning adventure. Every week, I share a cool video that will make you curious and eager to learn more. It’s like a little break during your school day, and the best part is, it’s completely free!

How Does It Work?

In each video, we explore a question that a real student has asked. Together, we’ll solve the mystery in less than five minutes! I’ll help you find clues, and we’ll take short breaks to chat about what we’ve discovered. You’ll also see amazing real-life pictures that make learning even more exciting.

Join the Fun!

At the end of each video, I pick three new questions from my special jar. You and your classmates can vote on which question you want to explore in the next video. If you have a question you’re curious about, you can ask your teacher to send it to my jar online. Who knows, your question might be featured next!

Stay Curious!

Remember, there are mysteries all around us just waiting to be solved. So, have fun, keep asking questions, and stay curious!

  • What is a question you have always been curious about, and how would you feel if it was chosen to be explored in Doug’s video?
  • Can you think of a time when you solved a mystery or figured something out on your own? How did it make you feel?
  • Why do you think it’s important to stay curious and keep asking questions? Can you share an example of something new you learned by being curious?
  1. Question Jar Creation: Create your own question jar at home or in the classroom. Decorate a jar or a box and write down questions you are curious about on small pieces of paper. Each week, pick a question from the jar and try to find the answer with the help of books, the internet, or by asking adults. Share what you discover with your family or classmates.

  2. Picture Detective: Go on a picture hunt! Look through magazines, books, or online resources to find pictures that make you curious. Choose one picture and write down three questions you have about it. Discuss these questions with a friend or family member and see if you can find the answers together.

  3. Curiosity Walk: Take a walk around your neighborhood or school and observe your surroundings. Bring a notebook and write down or draw anything that makes you curious. It could be a strange plant, an interesting building, or an unusual sound. Later, research to learn more about one of your observations and share your findings with your class.

I’m Doug. I taught elementary school for seven years. Every week, you’ll receive a short video designed to inspire your students to ask questions. It’s the perfect break for your morning meeting, snack time, or any transition during the school day. And I promise, there’s no cost—it will be free forever.

Here’s an example of how this works: each question is submitted by a real student. In under five minutes, your class will solve the mystery with me. I’ll help students notice clues, we’ll pause for discussion, and throughout the video, I’ll show real-life visuals.

At the end of the video, I’ll pull out three questions from my jar. Your class can vote on the questions they’re most curious about to explore in next week’s video. If your students have a question they want answered on the show, you can always submit it online to my jar.

There are mysteries all around us. Have fun and stay curious!
