Join the Fun!

Did you enjoy learning about pandas? You can find more fun videos about them. Ask a grown-up to help you search for more panda adventures!

  • Have you ever seen a panda in real life or in a video? What do you think makes pandas special and fun to watch?
  • If you could spend a day with a panda, what activities would you like to do together? Would you climb trees or eat bamboo?
  • Do you have a favorite animal that you like to learn about or watch videos of? How is it similar to or different from a panda?
  1. Panda Climb Challenge: Create a simple obstacle course at home or in the playground that mimics a panda’s climbing adventure. Use pillows, cushions, or small boxes to represent trees. Encourage the children to climb over and around these obstacles, just like a panda would. After the activity, ask them how they felt while climbing and what they think makes pandas such good climbers.

  2. Bamboo Snack Time: Have a snack time where children can try different types of crunchy vegetables like celery or carrots, pretending they are pandas munching on bamboo. Discuss the texture and taste of these vegetables. Ask the children why they think pandas like bamboo and how eating healthy foods helps us grow strong like pandas.

  3. Panda Nap Spot: Encourage the children to find a cozy spot in the classroom or at home where they can pretend to nap like a panda. Provide soft blankets or mats. Afterward, discuss why rest is important for both pandas and people. Ask them how they feel after a good nap and why they think pandas choose treetops for their naps.
