  1. What sound does the duck make?
  2. Can you tell me what the cow gives us?
  3. What other animals do you think live on the farm?

Welcome to the Farm!

Let’s sing a fun song about a farmer named Old MacDonald. He has a big farm with lots of animals. Are you ready to meet them?

Meet the Duck

Old MacDonald has a duck on his farm. Can you imagine what sound a duck makes? That’s right! It goes “quack, quack.” Let’s say it together: quack, quack here and quack, quack there. Ducks love to swim in the pond and waddle around the farm. Isn’t that fun?

Meet the Cow

Old MacDonald also has a cow. Do you know what sound a cow makes? It goes “moo, moo.” Cows like to eat grass and give us milk. Let’s say “moo, moo” together. Cows are big and gentle animals. They are very important on the farm!

Fun Farm Facts

Did you know that farms have many different animals? Besides ducks and cows, you might find chickens, pigs, and sheep. Each animal makes its own special sound. Can you think of other animal sounds?

Farms are wonderful places where animals live and work together with farmers. They help us get food like milk, eggs, and vegetables. Isn’t that amazing?

Thanks for visiting Old MacDonald’s farm with us. We hope you had fun learning about the animals and their sounds. See you next time!

  • What is your favorite animal on Old MacDonald’s farm, and why do you like it? Can you make the sound that animal makes?
  • Have you ever visited a farm or seen farm animals in real life? What was it like, and what animals did you see?
  • Why do you think farms are important for us? Can you think of some things we get from farms that we use every day?
  1. Animal Sound Hunt: Go on a sound hunt around your home or school. Listen carefully and try to find things that make sounds similar to the animals on Old MacDonald’s farm. Can you find something that sounds like a duck’s “quack” or a cow’s “moo”? Share what you found with your friends and try to mimic the sounds together!

  2. Create Your Own Farm: Use clay or playdough to make your own farm animals. Can you make a duck, a cow, or maybe a chicken? Once you’ve made your animals, think about where they would live on the farm. Would the duck be near a pond? Where would the cow like to eat grass? Arrange your animals and share your farm with the class.

  3. Animal Sound Match: Draw or print pictures of different farm animals and place them in a basket. Take turns picking an animal from the basket and making its sound. Can your friends guess which animal you are? Try to remember all the sounds you learned about and see if you can come up with new ones for other animals!
