Personal Hygiene for Kids – Hygiene Habits

Welcome to our fun guide on staying clean and healthy! Today, we’re going to learn about some important hygiene habits that help us take care of our bodies.

Showering

Taking a shower is a great way to keep clean. It’s important to shower at least once a day, especially after playing sports or running around. When we sweat, our bodies need a good wash to feel fresh again!

Here’s how to shower: First, put some shampoo on your palm and rub it into your hair. Rinse it out with water. Then, use a little shower gel on a sponge to wash your body. Remember to turn off the water while you scrub to save water. When you’re done, rinse off all the soap.

After your shower, dry off with a clean towel and put on fresh clothes. Don’t forget to comb your hair!

Keeping Nails Clean

Keeping your fingernails short and clean is another important habit. Use scissors or a nail cutter to trim them if they get too long. Try not to bite your nails!

Hand Washing

Before eating, always wash your hands well. This helps keep germs away. You can learn the best way to wash your hands by watching a special video on hand washing.

Brushing Your Teeth

Brushing your teeth after every meal is super important. It helps keep your teeth strong and healthy and prevents gum disease. Make sure to brush all your teeth, not just the front ones!

Washing Your Face

Washing your face is a great way to start and end your day. Wash your face in the morning when you wake up and at night before you go to bed. This helps keep your skin clean and fresh.

Let’s Recap!

  • Shower once a day, especially after playing sports.
  • Wear clean clothes and comb your hair after showering.
  • Keep your fingernails short and clean.
  • Wash your hands before eating.
  • Brush your teeth after every meal.
  • Wash your face in the morning and before bed.

That’s all for today! Keep practicing these habits to stay healthy and clean. See you next time!

  • What is your favorite part of your daily hygiene routine, and why do you like it?
  • Can you think of a time when you forgot to do one of these hygiene habits? How did it make you feel, and what did you learn from it?
  • Why do you think it’s important to keep our bodies clean? How do you feel when you are clean and fresh?
  1. Hygiene Detective: Become a hygiene detective at home! Look for places where you can practice good hygiene habits. Can you find a spot to wash your hands before meals? Where do you keep your toothbrush? Make a list of all the places you can practice these habits and share it with your family.
  2. Hand Washing Song: Create a fun hand-washing song to help you remember the steps. Sing it every time you wash your hands. You can use a tune you already know or make up your own. Share your song with your friends and family and teach them how to sing it too!
  3. Hygiene Habit Chart: Make a weekly chart to track your hygiene habits. Draw pictures or use stickers to mark each time you shower, brush your teeth, wash your hands, or trim your nails. At the end of the week, see how many times you practiced each habit. Can you do even better next week?

Welcome to a new video on my channel! The other day, we learned how to wash our hands the right way. Today, we’re going to learn more about hygiene habits.

The first thing you should know about personal hygiene is that it involves routines we follow to take care of our bodies and keep them clean. This helps us stay healthy. One of the most important habits is to shower at least once a day, especially after doing sports.

After a game, I sweat quite a lot, so it’s important to have a good shower. We should toss our dirty clothes in the hamper.

Let’s start washing our hair! We squeeze out some shampoo onto our palm and foam it up. After a few seconds, we rinse, then we wash our body. It’s best to apply a small amount of shower gel on a sponge and rub it all over our body. Meanwhile, we should turn off the tap to save water. When we finish, we turn on the tap and wash off the soap.

I feel great after a shower! Now we should dry off with a clean, dry towel.

Now I’m ready! I’m wearing clean clothes, and I’ve dried and combed my hair. Much better, right? Another hygiene habit is to keep your fingernails short and clean. You should cut them if they are long using scissors or a nail cutter. It’s not good to bite them.

It’s dinner time! I’ll wash my hands well before sitting at the table. You can learn how to do this by watching the hand washing video on my channel.

Another hygiene habit is brushing your teeth after every meal. Brushing your teeth is an important part of your dental care routine and helps prevent gum disease.

The last hygiene habit we’re going to talk about today is washing our face before going to bed. We should also wash our face in the morning when we wake up.

What a day! Let’s recap the hygiene habits:
– It’s important to shower once a day, especially after doing sports.
– After showering, we should wear clean clothes and comb our hair.
– We should keep our fingernails short and clean.
– Before eating, we should wash our hands.
– After every meal, we should brush our teeth.
– Before going to bed and after waking up in the morning, we should wash our face.

That’s all for today! See you in the next video.
