Hello, friends! Today, we’re going to have a fun story time together. Are you ready? Let’s get cozy and enjoy a wonderful story about Pete the Kitty and his Christmas adventure!
It’s a snowy day, and Pete the Kitty is so excited because it’s Christmas Eve! He decides to wear his favorite cozy Christmas sweater. Do you have a cozy sweater you like to wear?
Pete’s mom is busy putting up the Christmas tree, and Pete wants to help. He hangs a shiny, glittery ornament on the highest branch. Do you like decorating the Christmas tree too?
After decorating, Pete goes outside to play in the snow. His mom reminds him to wear his hat and brings him some yummy hot cocoa. Playing in the snow with a warm hat and hot cocoa sounds like so much fun!
When everyone is asleep, Pete hears a noise. It’s Santa! Pete quietly tiptoes down the stairs to see him. Santa says, “Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas, Pete! You’ve been a very good kitty, and there are lots of presents under the tree just for you!”
Pete is so happy and thanks Santa. What a wonderful Christmas it has been for Pete with his cozy sweater, glittery ornament, hot cocoa, and a special visit from Santa!
Wasn’t that a fun story? Remember, Christmas is a time to enjoy with family and friends, just like Pete the Kitty. We hope you enjoyed the story, and maybe you’ll have your own cozy Christmas adventure too!
Cozy Sweater Design: Let’s get creative! Use paper, crayons, and stickers to design your very own cozy Christmas sweater. Think about the colors and patterns you like. Once you’re done, share your design with the class and explain why it’s your favorite. This activity helps you think about what makes something cozy and special for you.
Ornament Hunt: Go on a mini adventure around your classroom or home to find objects that could be used as ornaments. Look for things that are shiny, colorful, or have interesting shapes. Once you’ve found some, discuss with a friend why you chose them and how they could make a tree look beautiful. This will help you notice details and think creatively about decoration.
Snow Play Imagination: Imagine you are playing in the snow like Pete. What games would you play? Would you build a snowman or make snow angels? Draw a picture of your snow adventure and share it with the class. This encourages you to use your imagination and think about the fun activities you can do in different weather.
