Lesson Activities

  1. Colorful Light Hunt: Go on a hunt around your home or classroom to find objects that match the colors of the Monster Cars’ lights: red, yellow, blue, and green. Once you find them, talk about how these colors can make things bright and cheerful, just like the Monster Cars did in the story. Can you think of other things that use these colors to help or make people happy?

  2. Role-Play Adventure: Pretend to be one of the Monster Cars! Choose to be the Monster Police Car, the Monster Fire Truck, or the Street Sweeper. Create a small adventure where you help someone or solve a problem. For example, you can pretend to chase a sneaky troublemaker or clean up a messy area. Share your adventure with your friends or family and talk about how it feels to help others.

  3. Make Your Own Band: Just like the Monster Car Band, create your own band using simple instruments or objects around you. You can use pots, pans, or even your hands to make music. Play a song and imagine you’re at the fireworks party. How does music make you feel? Why do you think the Monster Cars enjoyed playing music together?
