Welcome to Elmo the Musical, where we go on a fun adventure with Elmo! In this story, Elmo becomes a prince and shows us how to use our imagination and work together with friends.
Elmo and his friend Velvet are thinking of ideas for their musical adventure. Elmo decides to be a prince, and they start a royal adventure. This part of the story shows us how we can pretend to be different characters and create our own stories during playtime.
As Prince Elmo, he dreams of a big kingdom with castles and gardens. This helps us use our imagination to think of our own magical places. We can make up stories about our kingdoms and the people who live there.
Prince Elmo gets a message from the people of Totting Tot. They need help because of a dragon! Elmo and his tiny royal guards, who are funny little mice, go to help. This teaches us about being brave and helping others when they need it.
On their way, Elmo and his guards meet the Hiccoughing Hoop of Valley Hoo. They need to help the hoop stop hiccuping. This part shows us how to solve problems by thinking of clever ideas and working together.
When they reach Totting Tot, Elmo finds out the dragon’s breath is super stinky! It’s not fire, just a bad smell. This funny twist shows us that even scary things can be funny and not so scary after all.
Elmo comes up with a plan to fix the dragon’s stinky breath using garlic and Limburger cheese. This teaches us about cause and effect, showing how Elmo’s actions lead to funny results. It also helps us think of different ways to solve problems.
Elmo saves the town and thanks his little mouse guards. The adventure ends with everyone feeling happy and proud. Elmo the Musical is not just fun but also teaches us important lessons about using our imagination, helping others, solving problems, and having fun while learning.
Elmo the Musical shows us how stories can be both fun and educational, teaching us important lessons while we enjoy the adventure!
Create Your Own Kingdom: Gather some art supplies like paper, crayons, and markers. Ask the children to draw their own magical kingdom, just like Prince Elmo’s. Encourage them to think about what their kingdom would look like, who would live there, and what adventures they might have. After drawing, have each child share their kingdom with the class and tell a short story about it.
Role-Playing Adventure: Organize a simple role-playing game where children can pretend to be different characters from the story, such as Prince Elmo, Velvet, or the funny little mice. Set up a small obstacle course or a series of tasks they need to complete, like helping a friend or solving a simple puzzle. This activity will help them practice teamwork and problem-solving in a fun and engaging way.
Funny Problem-Solving: Present a silly problem to the children, such as a stuffed animal with “stinky breath” like the dragon. Provide them with various “solutions” like pretend garlic or cheese (using safe, non-food items). Ask them to come up with a plan to solve the problem and discuss how their actions might lead to different outcomes. This will encourage creative thinking and understanding of cause and effect.
