Suddenly, a funny pigeon appeared! The pigeon had a big idea. “Can I drive the bus, please?” he asked. “I’ll be very careful!”
But wait! The pigeon doesn’t have a driver’s license. That means he can’t drive the bus. Even if he promised to be careful, it’s just not safe!
The pigeon tried to convince us by saying, “My cousin Herb drives a bus almost every day!” But we know that’s just a silly story. Pigeons can’t drive buses!
We told the pigeon, “You can fly high in the sky, and that’s amazing! But driving a bus is not for pigeons.”
The pigeon had another idea. “Let’s play ‘Drive the Bus.’ I’ll go first!” he said. But we all know that letting a pigeon drive the bus is just too silly!
So, remember the bus driver’s rule: Don’t let the pigeon drive the bus! It’s fun to imagine, but some things are just not meant for pigeons.

Let’s make a pigeon puppet! Use paper, crayons, and sticks to create your own pigeon character. Once your puppet is ready, act out a scene where the pigeon learns about different jobs that are safe for him to do. Maybe he can be a mail carrier or a chef!
