Hello, friends! Today, we’re going to have a fun story time with Ryan and Craig. Are you ready? Let’s begin our adventure!
Have you ever wondered if you can high-five a panda bear? Let’s find out in our story called “Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle.
First, we meet a panda bear. Panda bear, panda bear, what do you see? The panda bear sees a bald eagle flying high in the sky!
The bald eagle, what do you see? The eagle sees a water buffalo running fast!
Water buffalo, what do you see? The buffalo sees a spider monkey swinging from tree to tree!
Spider monkey, what do you see? The monkey sees a green sea turtle swimming in the ocean!
Green sea turtle, what do you see? The turtle sees macaroni penguins waddling on the ice!
Macaroni penguin, what do you see? The penguin sees a sea lion splashing in the water!
Sea lion, what do you see? The sea lion sees a red wolf sneaking quietly!
Red wolf, what do you see? The wolf sees a whooping crane flying gracefully!
Whooping crane, what do you see? The crane sees a black panther strolling through the jungle!
Black panther, what do you see? The panther sees a dreaming child watching over all the animals!
The dreaming child sees all the wonderful animals: the panda bear, green sea turtle, macaroni penguin, sea lion, red wolf, whooping crane, and the black panther. What a magical dream!
Wow, there are so many amazing animals in our story! Each one is special and has its own way of moving and living. Isn’t that cool?
Thank you for joining Ryan and Craig for story time! We hope you had fun meeting all the animals. If you liked the story, you can read more books and learn about even more animals. See you next time for another adventure!
Animal Movement Imitation: Let’s pretend to be the animals from the story! Can you move like a panda bear, a bald eagle, or a spider monkey? Try to imitate how each animal moves. For example, flap your arms like an eagle flying or swing your arms like a monkey. Ask a friend or family member to guess which animal you are pretending to be!
Animal Observation Walk: Take a walk outside with an adult and see if you can spot any animals. They might be birds, insects, or even pets. Observe how they move and what they are doing. Can you find an animal that moves like one from the story? Share what you see with your friends or family!
Draw Your Favorite Animal: Think about all the animals you met in the story. Which one was your favorite? Draw a picture of that animal and imagine what it might see in its environment. You can add other animals or things it might see around it. Share your drawing with your class and explain why you chose that animal!
