Let’s Go on an Adventure with Cars!

Once upon a time, there was a little yellow car. It loved to zoom around and have fun. But one day, it couldn’t find its mommy! Oh no! The little car was scared and didn’t know what to do.

The Brave Police Car

But don’t worry! A brave police car came to help. “Hey, little car, there’s nothing to be scared of,” said the police car. “I’ll help you find your mommy!”

The police car was very kind and made sure the little car was safe. Remember, it’s important to stay close to your mommy or daddy when you’re outside. Never wander off by yourself!

Oh No, an Ouchie!

Later, a friend named Zach got a boo-boo on his leg. Ouch! It hurt a lot. But guess what? An ambulance named Angie came to the rescue!

“Don’t worry, Zach,” said Angie. “I’ll take you to the hospital, and you’ll feel better soon!”

Helping Each Other

Angie took Zach to the hospital, and soon his leg felt much better. “Thank you, Angie!” said Zach. “You’re welcome,” Angie replied with a smile. “Now, I need a wash. Can you help me?”

“Of course!” said Zach. Helping each other is important and makes everyone happy!

Fun and Safety Tips

Remember, always stay close to your family when you’re outside. If you ever feel scared or lost, find a friendly adult or a police officer to help you. And if someone gets hurt, it’s okay to ask for help. Friends and family are always there to help you feel better!

Wasn’t that a fun adventure with the little car and its friends? Let’s always be safe and help each other, just like they did!

Discussion Questions

  • Have you ever felt scared or lost like the little yellow car? What did you do, and who helped you feel safe?
  • Can you think of a time when you helped a friend or family member, like Zach helped Angie? How did it make you feel?
  • Why do you think it’s important to stay close to your family or a trusted adult when you’re outside? Can you share a story about a time you stayed safe?

Lesson Activities

  • Car Adventure Role Play: Gather some toy cars and set up a small play area with roads and buildings. Encourage the children to reenact the story using the toy cars. Let them take turns being the little yellow car, the police car, and the ambulance. Ask them to think about how each vehicle helped in the story and discuss why helping others is important.

  • Safety Scavenger Hunt: Organize a scavenger hunt in the classroom or playground where children look for items related to safety, such as a toy police badge, a band-aid, or a picture of a family. As they find each item, ask them how it relates to the story and what they learned about staying safe and helping others.

  • Draw Your Adventure: Provide paper and crayons for the children to draw their own adventure story with cars. Encourage them to include a situation where a car helps another car or person. Afterward, let them share their drawings with the class and explain how their story shows the importance of helping and staying safe.
