School Vocabulary Fun

Hello friends! Let’s learn some fun words we use at school. Are you ready? Let’s go!

Notebook

A notebook is a special book where we can write notes, do fun activities, or even draw pictures. It’s like our own little book of ideas!

Markers

Markers are colorful pens we use to draw or color. They make our pictures look bright and beautiful. Wow, look at all the colors!

Eraser

An eraser is a tool we use to fix mistakes. If we write something with a pencil and want to change it, we can use the eraser to make it disappear. Magic!

Scissors

Scissors are used to cut paper. We have to be careful when using them, but they help us make cool shapes and crafts!

Chalk

Chalk is used to write on the blackboard. We can draw or write, and then erase it easily to start again. It’s like a magic wand for writing!

Bin

A bin is where we throw away paper and other things we don’t need. We have special bins to recycle and help the Earth stay clean!

Exam

An exam is a test to see how much we have learned. It’s like a big quiz to show what we know!

Homework

Homework is school work we do at home. It’s a way to practice what we learned in class. Let’s do our best!

Playground

The playground is a fun place at school where we play during recess. We can run, jump, and have lots of fun with our friends!

Let’s Remember!

Can you remember these words?

  • Where do we write our notes and do activities? In a notebook!
  • What can we use to cut something? Scissors!
  • What can we use to draw something? Markers!
  • What can we use to write on the blackboard? Chalk!
  • Where do children play during recess? In the playground!

These are some of the words we use at school. Keep learning and have fun!

  • What is your favorite thing to do with a notebook? Do you like to write, draw, or do something else? Why?
  • Think about the colors of markers you like the most. If you could create a picture with those colors, what would you draw?
  • Have you ever used scissors to make a craft? What did you make, and how did it turn out?
  1. Notebook Adventure: Create your own mini notebook! Use some sheets of paper and fold them in half. Ask an adult to help you staple or tie them together. Now, use your notebook to draw or write about your favorite school activity. Share your notebook with a friend or family member and explain what you wrote or drew.

  2. Colorful Marker Hunt: Go on a color hunt around your house or classroom. Use markers to draw or color objects you find that match the colors of your markers. For example, if you have a red marker, find something red and draw it. How many colorful objects can you find?

  3. Recycling Detective: Become a recycling detective! Look around your home or classroom for items that can be recycled. Use a bin to collect paper, plastic, or other recyclable materials. Talk about why recycling is important and how it helps keep our Earth clean. Can you think of ways to reuse some of the items you found?

Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the YouTube transcript:
