Through interactive activities, such as saying words aloud and performing actions related to those words, learners discover the joy of language and the importance of expanding their vocabulary. The lesson encourages ongoing exploration of new words in everyday life, reinforcing that play and learning can go hand in hand.
  1. What is your favorite word that you learned from Wordbot?
  2. Can you think of a fun game we can play with words like Wordbot?
  3. How do new words help us talk about the things we do every day?

Meet Wordbot!

Hey there! Are you ready for some fun? Today, we’re going to meet a special friend named Wordbot. Wordbot loves to play games with words. Let’s see what Wordbot can do!

Word Games with Wordbot

Wordbot is a cool robot who can show us different words on his screen. When a word pops up, you can try to say it out loud. It’s like a game! Can you say the word before our friend Susan does? Let’s give it a try!

Let’s Play!

Here are some words that Wordbot might show us:

  • Jump! – Can you jump up high like a kangaroo?
  • Run! – Let’s pretend to run really fast!
  • Play! – Playing is so much fun, isn’t it?
  • Look! – What can you see around you?
  • Find! – Can you find something blue?
  • Make! – Let’s make a funny face together!

Wow, you’re doing great! Wordbot loves playing these word games with you.

Learning New Words

Playing with Wordbot helps us learn new words. When we know more words, we can talk about all the fun things we do every day. Isn’t that exciting?

Keep Playing and Learning!

Remember, you can play word games anytime. Try to find new words when you’re reading a book or talking with your family. The more you play, the more you’ll learn!

Thanks for playing with Wordbot today. We hope you had a great time learning new words!

  • What was your favorite word that Wordbot showed us, and why do you like it? Can you think of a fun game to play with that word?
  • Can you remember a time when you learned a new word? How did it make you feel, and did you use it in a sentence with your family or friends?
  • Look around you right now. Can you find something that starts with the same letter as your name? What is it, and can you make a sentence using that word?
  1. Word Scavenger Hunt: Go on a word scavenger hunt around your home or classroom. Look for objects that match the words Wordbot showed us, like “jump,” “run,” “play,” “look,” “find,” and “make.” For example, find something you can jump over, or a toy you can play with. Share what you find with your friends or family!

  2. Create a Word Story: Use the words from Wordbot to create a short story. Draw pictures to go along with your story. For example, you might draw a kangaroo jumping, a child running, or a group of friends playing. Share your story with the class and see how many different stories we can make with the same words!

  3. Wordbot’s Word Dance: Make up a dance move for each word Wordbot shows us. For “jump,” you can hop up and down. For “run,” pretend to run in place. Practice your dance moves and then perform your Wordbot dance for your family or friends. Can they guess which word each move represents?
