share us on:

In today’s lesson, “Let’s Move and Have Fun!”, we explored how to move our bodies like different animals, specifically running like a cat and jumping like a kangaroo. We emphasized the importance of play and physical activity for staying healthy and having fun, encouraging everyone to keep moving and enjoy games with friends.
  1. What animal did we pretend to be when we ran fast?
  2. How do kangaroos jump? Can you show me?
  3. What is your favorite game to play with friends?

Let’s Move and Have Fun!

Hi there! Are you ready to have some fun? Today, we’re going to learn about moving our bodies just like animals do. Let’s get started!

Run Like a Cat

Have you ever seen a cat run? Cats are super fast and love to run around. Let’s pretend to be cats and run as fast as we can. Ready, set, go!

Jump Like a Kangaroo

Kangaroos are amazing jumpers. They can jump really high and far. Let’s try jumping like a kangaroo. Bend your knees and jump, jump, jump! How high can you go?

Play and Have Fun

Playing is so much fun! We can run, jump, and play games with our friends. What games do you like to play? Maybe tag or hide and seek? Let’s play and have a great time together!

Keep Moving!

Moving our bodies is important because it helps us stay healthy and strong. So, let’s keep running, jumping, and playing every day. Remember, the more we move, the more fun we have!

Thanks for joining in on the fun today. See you next time for more exciting adventures!

  • What is your favorite animal to move like, and why? Can you show us how you would move like that animal?
  • When you play games like tag or hide and seek, how does it make you feel? Why do you think moving around is important for us?
  • Can you think of a new game or activity that involves moving like different animals? How would you play it with your friends or family?
  1. Animal Movement Exploration: Go outside or find a safe space indoors and pick an animal you like. Think about how that animal moves. Is it fast like a cheetah, slow like a turtle, or does it hop like a rabbit? Try moving like your chosen animal. Ask yourself: How does it feel to move like this? Can you make up a story about your animal’s adventure?

  2. Movement and Music: Play a fun song and dance like different animals. When the music starts, pretend to be an animal and move around. When the music stops, freeze in place. Can you guess what animal your friends are pretending to be? Try to think of new animals each time the music starts again.

  3. Animal Movement Art: Draw a picture of your favorite animal doing its special movement. Is it a bird flying, a fish swimming, or a monkey swinging? Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to make your picture colorful. Share your drawing with a friend and explain how your animal moves and why you like it.
