Keep Exploring Colors!

Remember, colors are all around us. Keep looking and learning about them every day. Have fun with colors!

  1. What is your favorite color, and why do you like it so much? Can you find something in your room or outside that is your favorite color?
  2. Think about a time when you saw a rainbow. What colors did you see, and how did it make you feel? Can you draw a picture of a rainbow with all the colors you remember?
  3. Imagine you are going on a color treasure hunt. What colors would you want to find, and where do you think you might find them? Share your ideas with your family or friends!
  • Color Scavenger Hunt: Go on a color scavenger hunt around your home or classroom. Look for objects that match the colors we’ve learned about: red, yellow, orange, green, purple, white, gray, black, pink, and brown. Can you find at least one item for each color? Share your findings with a friend or family member and describe what you found.

  • Color Mixing Experiment: Let’s explore how new colors are made! Use watercolors or food coloring to mix primary colors (red, yellow, blue) and see what new colors you can create. What happens when you mix red and yellow? How about blue and yellow? Try mixing different combinations and paint a picture with your new colors.

  • Color Story Time: Think of a story where each character is a different color. What would a red character be like? How about a green one? Draw a picture of your characters and tell a story about their colorful adventure. Share your story with your classmates or family.
