Hi there! I’m Miracle, and I’m so happy you’re here for Story Time! Today, we’re going to read a fun story called “Dan and Jan.” Are you ready? Let’s get started!
On the cover of our book, we see Dan and Jan. They are friends, and they have a cute little dog. Isn’t that exciting? Let’s see what adventures they have!
Dan and Jan love to play. They can play all day long! Do you like to play too? I bet you do! Let’s find out what games they play.
Can Dan jump? Yes, he can! And guess what? Jan can jump too! Jumping is so much fun. Can you jump like Dan and Jan?
Jan can run, and Dan can run too! Running is a great way to play. Do you like to run? I bet you can run really fast!
Jan can dance, but oh no, Dan cannot dance! So, he runs away. But don’t worry, Jan has a plan to help Dan learn to dance. Isn’t that a great idea?
With Jan’s help, Dan learns to dance! Now they can both dance together. Hooray! Can you dance too? Dancing is so much fun!
Would you like to hear the story one more time? It’s so much fun to listen and look at the pictures. You can even read this story in the ABC Mouse Library whenever you want. It’s one of my favorites!
Thank you for joining me for Story Time! I can’t wait to share another fun story with you next time. Bye-bye!
Jump and Count: Let’s have some jumping fun just like Dan and Jan! Find a safe space where you can jump. Count how many times you can jump in a row. Can you jump more times than Dan and Jan? Try jumping while counting out loud to practice your numbers. How high can you jump? Ask a friend or family member to join you and see who can jump the most times!
Dance Party: Remember how Jan helped Dan learn to dance? Let’s have our own dance party! Put on your favorite music and dance around. Try to make up a new dance move and teach it to someone else, just like Jan did for Dan. How many different dance moves can you come up with? Dancing is a great way to express yourself and have fun!
Run and Explore: Just like Dan and Jan love to run, let’s go on a running adventure! Find a safe area where you can run around. As you run, look for interesting things around you. Can you find something that starts with the letter “D” for Dan or “J” for Jan? Running helps us explore and discover new things in our world!
Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the transcript:
