Hello, friends! It’s Ryan and Craig from Story Time with Ryan and Craig, and we have some exciting updates to share with you. We have good news, some not-so-good news, and some fantastic news. After we share everything, we’ll have a fun question and answer time, so keep your questions ready!
Let’s start with the good news! Every month, Ryan and Craig will be going live on YouTube to read stories aloud. Our next live read-aloud is on Monday, February 25th. You can join us at 8 a.m. Pacific Time, 11 a.m. Eastern Time, or 10 a.m. Chicago Time. We are super excited to read with you!
Now, for the not-so-good news. We won’t be posting new read-aloud videos on YouTube for a while. This is because we need to make sure we have permission from the authors and publishers to share their stories. But don’t worry! You can still watch all our current read-alouds on our YouTube playlist.
Here’s the fantastic news! Ryan and Craig have a brand-new website: ryancraig.com. We will post new read-aloud videos there every Tuesday and Thursday. You can also find all our old read-alouds using a handy search tool to help you find your favorite stories.
On our website, you can search for stories by title or author. We also have a section with answers to common questions. If you want to talk to us, there’s a contact page where you can send us emails. We love hearing from you!
We also have a blog where we share updates and fun information about our read-alouds. Be sure to check it out!
To sum it up: We will have a live read-aloud once a month, starting next Monday. We won’t be posting new read-alouds on YouTube for now, but you can find them on our website.
Thank you for joining us for our announcements. We can’t wait to see you on February 25th at 8 a.m. Pacific, 11 a.m. Eastern, and 10 a.m. Chicago time. Get ready for some fun stories and a chance to ask us questions!
Story Time Schedule: Create a colorful calendar with your child to keep track of Ryan and Craig’s live read-aloud sessions. Use stickers or drawings to mark the dates and times. This will help your child learn about time zones and planning ahead. Ask them to think about why it’s important to know the time in different places.
Website Exploration Adventure: Visit Ryan and Craig’s new website together. Encourage your child to use the search tool to find a story they like. Discuss how the website is organized and why it’s helpful to have a search function. Ask them to think about what other features they would like to see on the website and why.
Permission and Sharing: Talk with your child about why Ryan and Craig need permission to share stories on YouTube. Use a simple role-play activity where your child asks for permission to borrow a book from you. Discuss why asking for permission is important and how it helps everyone feel respected and safe.
