Look at the wheels on the bus! They go round and round. What shape are they? Yes, they are circles! Circles are round like a pizza or a clock.
Do you see the windows on the houses? They are squares! Squares have four sides that are all the same length. Can you find something square around you?
In the jungle, there are tents. What shape are they? They are triangles! Triangles have three sides. Can you make a triangle with your fingers?
Look at the train! The coaches are rectangles. Rectangles have four sides, just like squares, but two sides are longer. Can you spot a rectangle nearby?
When you look up at the night sky, you see stars. Stars have pointy arms and look like they are waving hello! Can you draw a star?
Footballs and eggs are shaped like ovals. Ovals are like stretched-out circles. Can you find something oval-shaped?
My pillow is so soft and shaped like a heart. Hearts are special and show love. Can you draw a heart for someone you love?
Look at the kite flying high in the sky! It’s a rhombus. Rhombuses look like diamonds. Have you ever flown a kite?
Bees make their homes in hives that are shaped like hexagons. Hexagons have six sides. Can you count to six with me?

Shape Hunt Adventure: Go on a shape hunt around your home or classroom!
