Lesson Activities

  1. Vehicle Role Play: Gather some toy vehicles like firetrucks, ambulances, helicopters, and garbage trucks. Encourage the children to act out scenarios where each vehicle helps in a situation, such as putting out a fire or cleaning up trash. Ask them to think about what sounds each vehicle makes and how they move. This will help them understand the unique roles each vehicle plays in our community.

  2. Build Your Own Vehicle: Provide children with simple craft materials like cardboard, paper rolls, and bottle caps. Ask them to create their own vehicle, thinking about what special job it might have. Once they finish, have them share their creations with the class and explain what their vehicle does and how it helps people.

  3. Observation Walk: Take the children on a short walk around the school or neighborhood. Encourage them to observe and identify different vehicles they see, such as buses, delivery trucks, or police cars. Ask them to think about what each vehicle might be doing and why it is important. After the walk, discuss their observations and how these vehicles contribute to the community.
