Let’s Play a Color Game!

Now that we know so many colors, let’s play a game! Look around your room and find something of each color we talked about. Can you find them all? Have fun exploring the colorful world around you!

  • What is your favorite color, and why do you like it so much? Can you find something in that color around you?
  • Think about a time when you saw something really colorful. What colors did you see, and how did it make you feel?
  • Imagine if you could create a new color. What would you name it, and what things would be that color?
  1. Color Hunt Adventure: Go on a color hunt around your home or classroom! Find objects that match each color we learned about: red, white, green, black, purple, blue, orange, brown, pink, gray, and yellow. Once you find an object, share it with a friend or family member and explain why it matches the color. Can you find something for every color?

  2. Color Mixing Magic: Let’s explore what happens when we mix colors! Use watercolors or finger paints to mix two colors together. Try mixing red and white to see what new color you create. What happens when you mix blue and yellow? Share your discoveries with the class and see if your friends made the same colors!

  3. Color Story Time: Create a short story or draw a picture using your favorite colors. Think about what happens in your story or what you want to show in your picture. Maybe it’s a red apple talking to a blue ocean, or a pink flower meeting a gray elephant. Share your story or picture with the class and talk about why you chose those colors.
