Ollo loves practicing letters and painting. It’s a great way to learn! Ollo just painted a letter, and it’s the letter G.
The letter G makes a special sound. It sounds like “guh.” Can you think of a word that starts with the “guh” sound? How about the word “grapes”? That’s right! Grapes start with the letter G.
Now you know a little more about the letter G. Keep practicing, and you’ll become a letter expert just like Ollo!
G Sound Hunt: Go on a “G Sound Hunt” around your home or classroom. Look for objects that start with the “guh” sound, like “glue,” “glove,” or “game.” Make a list or draw pictures of the items you find. Share your discoveries with a friend or family member and see if they can find more “G” objects!
G Collage Creation: Create a “G Collage” using magazines, newspapers, or printed images. Cut out pictures of things that start with the letter G, such as “giraffe,” “guitar,” or “garden.” Glue them onto a piece of paper to make a colorful collage. Display your artwork and explain why each item belongs to the letter G.
Story Time with G: Write a short story or draw a comic strip featuring a character whose name starts with G, like “Gina the Giraffe” or “Gary the Goose.” Think about what adventures they might have and what other “G” words you can include in your story. Share your story with a friend or family member and ask them to think of more “G” words to add!
