One of the words that starts with the letter M is “milk.” Milk is a delicious snack, and it’s perfect for a hungry elephant like Ollo. Imagine Ollo happily drinking milk and saying, “Mmm, milk!”
Isn’t it fun to learn about the letter M? Now you know that M makes the mmm sound, just like in the word milk. Keep practicing, and you’ll be a letter M expert in no time!
Sound Hunt: Go on a sound hunt around your home or classroom. Look for objects that start with the letter M. Can you find a mug, a mat, or maybe even a map? Each time you find something, say the word out loud and emphasize the “mmm” sound. How many M words can you find?
Make an M Collage: Gather some old magazines or newspapers with the help of an adult. Cut out pictures of things that start with the letter M. Glue them onto a piece of paper to create your very own M collage. Share your collage with your friends or family and explain why each picture belongs to the letter M.
M Sound Story: Create a short story using as many M words as you can. For example, “Once upon a time, a monkey found a magical map.” Draw pictures to go along with your story. Share your story with someone and see if they can hear all the M words you used!
