Down by the station, when the sun is just waking up, we see little trains all lined up. The engine driver pulls a handle, and the trains go “chug chug” as they start their journey. Isn’t that exciting?

In the city, when the morning is fresh, subway trains are busy in the tunnels. They hurry up and down, taking people where they need to go. Riding the subway is like a speedy underground trip!
At the station, early in the morning, shiny red fire trucks are ready to go. They are all set to put out fires and help people. Fire trucks are heroes on wheels!
In the city, as the day begins, concrete mixers are hard at work. They mix and pour concrete to build tall buildings. Watching them work is like seeing a big construction show!
In the country, early in the morning, tractors are ready to plow the fields. Farmers climb in and drive off to work. Tractors help grow food for everyone!

Transportation Adventure Walk: Take a walk around your neighborhood or a nearby park with an adult. Look for different types of transportation like bicycles, cars, or buses. Can you spot any that were mentioned in our morning adventure? Count how many you see and talk about where they might be going. Share your findings with your friends or family!
Build Your Own Vehicle: Use blocks, cardboard, or any craft materials you have at home to create your own version of a train, airplane, or ferry boat. Think about what makes each vehicle special and try to include those features in your creation. Once you’re done, explain to someone how your vehicle works and where it might travel.
Morning Sounds Exploration: Close your eyes and listen carefully to the sounds around you in the morning. Do you hear any sounds like “chug chug,” “zoom whoosh,” or “pedal, push, push”? Try to guess what is making those sounds. Draw a picture of what you think is making the sound and share it with your class or family.
