The Veggies Wake Up

Every night, when the farmer goes to have some tea and all the cows and pigs are fast asleep, something magical happens. The vegetables in the garden wake up and get ready to party! They stretch, rise, and shine because it’s time for the Veg Patch Party!

Meet the Veggie Stars

First up is Potato with his band, the Chips! They play some cool tunes, and everyone gets excited. Imagine all the yummy flavors of chips like salt and vinegar or sour cream and cheddar. Yum!

Next, we have the superstar Pumpkin! She sings and dances, making the parsnips and turnips jump and jive. Everyone is having so much fun!

Dance Like a Veggie

Now, it’s time to dance! You can conga like a carrot, party like a pear, rock out like a radish, and boogie like a bean. It’s a muddy, loud, and super fun party, so let’s get our veggie wiggle on!

The Red Hot Chilis

Here come the Red Hot Chilis, the coolest band ever! They play their music for all the runner beans. Their songs are so hot, just like salsa and hot sauce. Wow, they’re amazing!

Acrobatic Carrots and DJ Brussels

The carrots are doing handstands and kicking their orange legs high in the air. It’s called the Carrot Can Can! The peas are so excited, they bounce and shout. Then, DJ Brussels, the techno king, takes the stage. He plays awesome music, and everyone dances with mud balls and lights. It’s a veggie dance party!

Party in the Mud

Turnip and Pumpkin jump into the mud, and the peas splash around too. Even when it rains, the veggies keep partying together. They have so much fun, no matter the weather!

Join the Veggie Fun

When the moon shines bright, the veggies have a crazy time and party all night long. So, let’s conga like a carrot and join the fun!

Wasn’t that an exciting story? Now you know how much fun veggies can have at night. Let’s dance and celebrate just like them!

  • What is your favorite vegetable, and if it could come to life and party, what kind of dance do you think it would do?
  • If you could join the Veg Patch Party, which veggie would you want to be and why? What fun things would you do at the party?
  • Have you ever seen vegetables growing in a garden or on a farm? What do you think they might do when no one is watching?
  1. Veggie Dance Moves: Let’s create our own veggie dance! Think about your favorite vegetable and how it might move if it were dancing. Would it wiggle like a worm or jump like a frog? Try to come up with a special dance move for your veggie and show it to your friends or family. You can even have a mini dance party at home and see who can come up with the silliest veggie dance!

  2. Veggie Band Creation: Imagine you’re in a veggie band like Potato and the Chips. What instruments would your veggies play? Gather some simple items from around your house, like pots, pans, or spoons, and create your own veggie band. You can play along to your favorite song or make up your own tune. Don’t forget to give your band a fun name!

  3. Veggie Observation Walk: Go on a walk with a grown-up and look for different vegetables in your neighborhood or garden. Can you find any veggies growing in gardens or at the store? What colors and shapes do you see? Talk about how these veggies might join the Veg Patch Party. Would they dance, sing, or play an instrument? Share your observations with your class or family.

They’re one of my favorites. I mean, all their hits—you know, salsa, hot sauce, and let’s not forget the greatest hit of all, the Hot Chili Challenge! Oh, I couldn’t even take it; I had to get some milk after that one!

The carrots are like acrobats, always doing handstands and kicking their orange legs up high. It’s called the Carrot Can Can! The peas get so excited—they bounce and scream and shout. Up next on stage is DJ Brussels, the techno king! DJ Brussels spins the decks, and the peas bounce high to dance with mud balls, lights, and veggie beats. He has them in a trance!

So conga like a carrot, party like a pear, rock out like a radish, and boogie like a bean! It’s called the Veg Patch Party—it’s muddy, loud, and fun, so get your veggie wiggle on and rock out, everyone!

Now, Turnip jumps down in the mud, and Pumpkin follows—crash! Next, the peas all tumble in; they skid, they escape, they splash! Check out those veggies going mad—they’re all on stage together, mashed in thunder, lightning, and pouring rain. They party in all weather!
