Hello, friends! How are you today? Is it sunny or rainy where you are? I hope you got to play outside and enjoy the sunshine! Thank you for joining us for a fun story.
Today, we have a special story about twins. The book is called “We But Me,” and it’s all about two special people who are twins, just like two peas in a pod! Let’s find out more about them.
Zoe and Jordan are twins. That means they were born on the same day, but just a few minutes apart. They have the same last name, but different first names. Isn’t that cool?
Even though Zoe and Jordan might look alike, they have their own special things. They sleep in the same room but have their own beds. They both love teddy bears, but they like different sizes. Sometimes they fight over toys, but they also share. They wear matching clothes sometimes, but not every day. People might mix them up, but they think it’s funny!
They know the same kids but play with their own friends. They both love treats, but they like different kinds. Even though they are twins, they are still their own special selves!
Do you know any twins, or are you a twin? Twins are special, but remember, everyone is unique in their own way!
Now, let’s talk about beautiful girls. A beautiful girl can have fair skin and love to share. She might have brown skin and help others with kind words. She could have skin like desert sands and give warm hugs.
A beautiful girl might have freckles and be gentle and peaceful. She could have black hair and be smart and helpful. She might have golden hair and bring lots of fun and laughter.
She could be tall and always ready to help a friend. Or she might be small and love music and art. She could have bright red hair and a big heart to help others.
A beautiful girl can have curly hair and be strong and brave. Every girl is beautiful just by being herself!
Remember, every girl is special and beautiful. You are worth more than anything, and you were made to love and be loved. Always be yourself, and you will bring beauty to the world!
Thank you for reading with us today. We hope you enjoyed the stories. See you next time for more fun and exciting tales. Bye!
Twins Observation Walk: Take a walk around your neighborhood or school and try to spot things that are the same and things that are different. For example, look for two trees that are the same type but have different shapes or sizes. Discuss with your friends or family what makes them similar and what makes them unique, just like Zoe and Jordan!
Create Your Own Twin Story: Draw or write a short story about two characters who are twins. Think about what makes them the same and what makes them different. Share your story with the class and talk about how each twin is special in their own way.
Unique You Collage: Gather magazines, colored paper, or use drawing materials to create a collage that represents what makes you unique. Include your favorite colors, activities, and anything that shows who you are. Share your collage with the class and talk about how everyone is special in their own way, just like the beautiful girls in the story.

Hi everyone! Welcome back to the Storytime Family. How’s it going? How’s the weather down there? Is it sunny or rainy? Is it cold or warm? I hope you had your dose of sunshine or at least got to play outside. Thank you so much for taking the time to sit down and read with us.
Today, we have a special book about twins. It’s called “We But Me,” a book for twins or any two peas in a pod, by Kenny Lee and Kai Hua Chang. Let’s get started!
Two unique souls united by birth, an A and a twin B. We share the same birthday, but we were born minutes apart. We have the same last name, but our first names are distinct: Zoe and Jordan.
We might look alike, but not in every way. We sleep in the same room, but we have our own beds. We both adore teddy bears, but one size doesn’t fit all. We fight over the same toys, but we share now and then. We wear magic outfits, but not every day. We could get mistaken for one another, but that can be fun.
We know the same kids, but we play with our own friends. We both love a good treat, but we have different tastes. We’ll always be twins, but we still get to be you and me.
That was so cute, don’t you think? Do you know any twins, or maybe are you part of twins, triplets, or quadruplets? Twins are special, but we’re all unique in our own ways too.

A beautiful girl has skin that is fair. Whatever she’s blessed with, she wants to share. A giver of gifts who keeps others in mind, she likes to do things that are thoughtful and kind.
A beautiful girl has lovely brown skin. Her eyes always look for the beauty within. She wants to see others soar like the birds, so she uplifts them with her encouraging words.
A beautiful girl has skin like desert sands, and wherever she goes, carries love in her hands. She uses her hands to hold and to heal; a gentle embrace shows she knows how you feel.
A beautiful girl has freckles on her face and carries herself with gentleness and grace. She’s softly spoken and brings a great peace; even her presence puts others at ease.
A beautiful girl has hair black as night. She’s thoughtful and clever, likes doing things right, good at solving problems and thinking things through. She likes to help work out the best thing to do.
A beautiful girl has gold hair like the sun. Wherever she goes, she brings laughter and fun. She’s confident, both bouncy and loud; she loves to bring joy into every crowd.
A beautiful girl is gracious and tall; you know she will catch you if ever you fall. She’s honest, trustworthy, and a faithful friend; she’ll walk right beside you till the very end.
A beautiful girl is small and petite; she wants to share love with whomever she meets. She celebrates life through music and art and touches the world by sharing her heart.
A beautiful girl has hair that’s bright red and welcomes the day as she jumps out of bed. Her heart of compassion helps those in need, reaching out to others by doing good deeds.
A beautiful girl has a smile that brings hope and strength that endures when it’s hard to cope. She appreciates life and makes the most of each day; she doesn’t give up when hard times come her way.
[Applause]
A beautiful girl has cool curly hair. When she has a passion, she’s hard to stop. She’ll seek after justice and stand up for the weak. She’s strong and courageous; the truth she will speak.
A beautiful girl is any girl at all. Not only external, it’s every girl’s call. If you are a girl, you are beautiful too. Bring beauty to the world by just being you.
No price can be put on how much you are worth, more precious than rubies and have been from birth. You were made to love and be loved beyond measure; every girl is beautiful, a valuable treasure.
And that was “A Beautiful Girl Like You.” Are you a beautiful girl? I’m pretty sure you are! If you would like to own a copy of this book, the links to purchase it are in the description below.
